I love this sentiment and hope you continue to work on things purely out of what interests you and continue to share these updates. When we were kids we probably all dived into what interested us and never worried if it was a waste of time. Despite being kids who probably had neither the skills nor freedom to acheive the grand visions of the projects in our minds. As adult professionals we actually have skills, abilities and freedom to explore what we like, but constantly prevent ourselves from getting truly immersed, by clouding our visions with self doubt about the time and money we are committing, and is it responsible, etc.. Sadly the end result is that when we actually have the capability to execute on our grand visions, we tend to be less productive and creative than when we were kids. Its incredible liberating to shake this mindset as an adult with actual creative skills and some time and money to acheive something.
